The Carrara 7 Beta is out. Carrara is the same maker as DAZ Studio.
Carrara is unique in its ease of use among 3D applications. It sports a nice terrain and vegetation generator, plus good integration with DAZ Studio’s 3D characters.
New stuffs in this version includes DAZ Studio Content Support Improvements, 3D Painting and Rendering Optimizations.

I also think that Carrara is one of the easiest 3D application that is feature-packed.
